I just got back after a few days in Southern California, and had such a great time!!! After a few below-freezing-weeks in Colorado, even just being in warmer temperatures and seing flowers on bushes, was a gift to me, although it rained most of the time! Some of the highlights was seeing the Pacific Ocean again, being treated to a live play in Hollywood with 11 loud and funny ladies, and eating at Blues- BBQ- place "Lucille's" with Tim, Jill & Jessica. I have to tell you about Jessica, as she is one of my dearest friends in the world; and I have missed her greatly since she moved from Colorado Springs with her husband Chris Jackson and girls to pastor "Church of Grace" in Laverne, CA last August.

Jess is one of those rare gems in life; a true and faithful friend who loves at all times, and is just the best shopping-coffee and prayer friend any girl could want. Pastor Chris and Jess had invited me to sing at their church on Sunday AM, and I really enjoyed this fellowship as well as meeting their new church family.

Truthfully, if I lived nearer, this would be my home church. Another very precious friend of both Jess and I; Dawn, who lives in Hawaii flew in to LA Sunday, which was just a big deal, as the three of us got some "hon"-time. (We all call each other "hon"... and have a lot of history together. Oh, the books we could write!) Another surprise was getting to have a fabulous salmon dinner with fellow musician Brian Rennick and his sweet wife Paula on Saturday night. This was our first time to meet, but I am sure not the last. Brian is part Norwegian, and through a series of events I have been attempting to help him find his biological mother who is Norwegian...

Being in Malibu to worship the Lord there with some very fine ladies on Monday, was also a special time. I have lead worship there on numerous occations since 2004, and it was so great to see everyone again. This community of entertainment industry leaders has seen fires, mud slides and even had hail and a tornado come by lately. It felt the more urgent to take some time to focus our hearts on Him who never changes- to receive a renewed sense of the peace that passes all understanding, even when both life and the world around us is shaken to the core.

As the headline indicates, I made a stop at TBN studios on Friday January 25th, and did the thirty minute show "Behind The Scenes" (First to know) which is one of TBN's most watched programs. Pastor & author Phil Munsey was my host, and I really appreciated his style of interviewing, as he came across as both authentic and sincere, which made it so nice for me. We talked about Norway, some of the background behind my latest CD "Worship You", God's grace to us all, and how

He loves it when we make the choice to praise Him, even in the midst of life's storms. I performed the title cut "Worship You" and "Eye of the Storm", which can all be viewed at www.tbn.org in their online archives for about 30 days after the original airing on Friday January 25th.
