This is the very first song my husband Ken and I penned together. During an early morning in our blue house with the white picket fence in Lindale, TX, while still newly wed, the song took shape as we tried our best to worship from an honest heart.

On a warm summer night, while walking in downtown Oslo, Ken and I had an open-hearted conversation with a young couple about God. This fueled my already burdened heart for my homeland, to pray for its people to experience the amazing power of knowing the One who made our beautiful land. Tears dripped on the paper as I wrote the first lines to this song, just before the sun rose for a new day in my beloved homeland.

I wrote this while being pregnant with our first born son, David Levi. God has since blessed us with two more children, Kari Julianna and John Markus.All three of them the greatest treasure of my life.
